We discovered a soap so precious, it's referred to locally as, "the national soap"

Our story starts with Lowy, a forensic accountant, traveling the world investigating financial crimes. While living and working in the Middle East, he discovered a soap so precious, it was referred to locally as simply, "the national soap," and for Lowy, it was nothing short of magical. For years, it was the only product that graced his shower – and the only soap that touched his body, face and scalp.

Local Soap Master saves the day!

Lowy eventually returned to America. When he did, he quickly realized that his beloved soap was nowhere to be found. Not a Whole Foods, pharmacy, or cosmetics store had ever even heard of it. Desperate times call for desperate measures, so Lowy did what any reasonable person would do—he hopped on a plane, flew back to the Middle East, befriended a local Soap Master and stuffed his suitcase with as many bars of this soap as humanly possible. Imagine Lowy navigating airport security with a suitcase so full of soap bars it’s practically glowing, muttering, "Don’t worry, it’s for a good cause."

Word began to spread of Lowy's soap odyssey

As word of his soap supply spread, his friends and family became soap junkies as well, and Lowy found himself on a non-stop flight path between continents delivering the goods. Think of him as the world’s most dedicated soap courier, schlepping bars like a soap-slinging superhero.

Enter Ryan

An Irish business maestro and overall health & wellness enthusiast who, by the stroke of fate, happened to move into the apartment next door to Lowy, in sunny Los Angeles, California. Ryan, with a knack for turning any idea into gold, was initially amused by Lowy’s soap saga. But after trying the soap himself, Ryan too became a junkie. After one too many pints of Guinness, Ryan managed to convince Lowy that this wasn’t just a personal indulgence; it was a potential game-changer.  

We shared the goods

Back to the airport Lowy went, this time dragging Ryan along, to restock their soap supply.  Upon returning to Los Angeles, they took the goods to a local farmers’ market.  Within just a few weekends, they completely sold out. The sales were a relief (those flights are expensive!), but more importantly, the feedback from customers was a shock. People of all ages and ethnicities kept repeating a similar claim: our soap helped relieve their skin conditions, particularly eczema, psoriasis, rosacea and acne.

Millions of people are searching for answers to their skin problems.  We believe we found one.

After hearing countless customer stories at the farmers market, Lowy and Ryan were inspired to explore the impact of their soap on skin conditions. They dove into dermatology, consulted experts, and learned of the daily struggles faced by those with eczema—fearing flare-ups, losing faith in treatments, and seeking relief. Moved by these stories, they were determined to make their soap accessible to more people, offering a natural, affordable solution that could restore confidence and improve lives.

31.6 million people (10.1%) in the U.S. have some form of eczema, and prevalence often peaks during early childhood. An estimated 16.5 million U.S. adults (7.3%) have AD, with nearly 40% affected with moderate to severe disease.

People with AD report a median annual out of pocket cost for disease management of $600. However, 42% of individuals spend $1,000 or more, and 8.5% report spending $5,000 or more.

More than 55% of adults with moderate to severe AD report inadequate disease control. Even when treatments are available, over 50% of adults with AD still face concerns about long-term use, and over 50% have found a treatment to be ineffective. 44% have discontinued prescribed medications for eczema

Half of patients with moderate to severe AD indicate that it significantly limits their lifestyle; nearly 35% of those with mild AD also experience some lifestyle limitations. More than one-third of patients say they “often” or “always” feel angry or embarrassed by their appearance due to their disease.

When our good friend Hayley joined the team, it felt like the missing piece of the puzzle. With a strong background in branding and social media, she brought the perfect mix of creativity and strategy to help tell our story.
